AGM

The AGM range has very low internal resistance making them particularly suitable for high current discharge applications such as for inverters, thrusters and winches. High purity materials and lead calcium grids ensure Victron Energy AGM products have particularly low self-discharge so that they will not go flat during long periods without charge.

Supplied with M8 drilled, flat copper terminals ensuring best possible connection contact and eliminating the need for battery terminals. The batteries are compliant with both CE and UL specifications in ABS fireproof containers and come with Victron’s 2 year world-wide warranty.

GEL

The GEL model range offers best deep cycle durability and overall longer life. The use of high purity materials and lead calcium grids ensure the Victron Energy GEL products have particularly low self-discharge so that they will not go flat during long periods without charge.

Lead Carbon

The design of the Victron Energy Lead Carbon battery provides a better partial state-of-charge performance, more cycles, and higher efficiency.

The active material of the negative plate is made from a lead carbon composite which reduces sulfation during partial state-of-charge operation and improves charge acceptance which allows for a lower charge voltage, increasing efficiency and reducing corrosion of the positive plate.

The overall result of all of this is an improved cycle life.

Lithium Smart – LiFePO4

Victron Energy Lithium Smart batteries are Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4 or LFP) batteries available in various capacities with nominal voltages of either 12.8V or 25.6V. LiFePO4 is the safest of the mainstream lithium battery types and is the battery chemistry of choice for very demanding applications.

VE Lithium Smart batteries feature an integrated cell balancing, temperature and voltage control system (BTV) that must be connected to an external battery management system (BMS). The BTV monitors each individual battery cell, balances the cell voltages and generates an alarm signal in case of high or low cell voltage or temperature. The alarm signal is received by the BMS (purchased separately) which then switches off the loads and/or chargers accordingly.

Up to a maximum of 20 VE Lithium Smart batteries can be series / parallel connected giving 84kWh in 12v or 102kWh in 24 or 48v.
